Contract
The guest accommodation contract between the guest and the hotel “Das Sofa” is considered binding when the guest orders and the hotel confirms. This is done in writing, but can also be done verbally or by telephone if a written confirmation is not possible due to time constraints. The hotel distributes the rooms. A guest is not entitled to a specific room unless he has specifically ordered it and it has been confirmed to him in writing. If a third party has ordered for the guest, he or she is liable to the hotel together with the guest as joint and several debtors for all obligations arising from the hotel accommodation contract.
Performance, prices, payment, claims
The hotel is obliged to keep the rooms booked by the guest available and to provide the agreed services. The agreed prices include the respective statutory VAT. For organizational reasons, only cash payment is possible in our hotel and restaurant. When accounting, the pension is entitled to declare accrued claims due at any time and to demand immediate payment. In the event of late payment, the pension is entitled to charge the applicable statutory default interest of currently 8%.
Arrival and departure
Room check-in is possible from 1:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and the room must be handed over between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Times that deviate from this require prior agreement with the hotel. Unless otherwise agreed, arrival must take place by 6 p.m. If this does not happen, the hotel can use the rooms elsewhere. Excluded from this rule are reservations that have been paid in advance and where a late arrival has been previously announced.
Cancellation
If a guest ends their stay prematurely, they are still obliged to pay for the booked stay. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, a reservation can be canceled as follows:
- Cancellation is possible free of charge up to 5 days before your planned arrival.
- If cancellation is made less than 5 days before the planned arrival, cancellation costs amounting to 80% of the total amount must be paid by the customer to the hotel.
- If a guest does not arrive without first canceling, they are obliged to pay 100% of the overnight price. We cannot be held responsible for bad weather, illness, timetable changes and delays. In case of a confirmed reservation, we must be informed of any cancellation at least 5 days before arrival. Otherwise we will demand partial compensation of the entire stay price. We try to keep the cancellation fees as low as possible, as there is often the possibility that the room can be rented out to third parties. The only case where we are very strict is if the guest does not show up without information.
Liability
The guest or the customer is liable to the hotel “Das Sofa” for any damage caused by him or his guests. The hotel "Das Sofa" is not liable for valuables or cash lost in the hotel, unless the hotel or its staff are at fault or the valuables were given for safekeeping against a receipt.
